Dr. Taghreed Al Najjar is a Consultant in Critical Care and Internal Medicine with over 20 years of experience. She is currently working at Kuwait Hospital and has previously served as a Consultant in Critical Care and Internal Medicine at King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). Dr. Al Najjar played a significant role in developing a state-of-the-art closed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and implementing ICU protocols, which improved survival outcomes for ICU cancer patients. She also led the Rapid Response Sepsis Team at KHCC and has published several papers in critical care journals.

She is the chairperson of several committees, including the CPR Committee, Care of Patient Chapter in JCIA, Emergency Cardiovascular Care Committee, and Vulnerable Group Committee, and is a member of the Quality Council, Infection Control, Venous Access Device, and Critical Care Committee at KHCC. Dr. Al Najjar is a member of the American Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), European Intensive Care Medicine, American Heart Association (AHA), and Jordanian Critical & Internal Medicine societies.

She is also a board member of the Arab Resuscitation Council (ArRC) and has been an AHA Regional Faculty (RF) for all disciplines since 2008. Dr. Al Najjar established AHA programs in Jordan in 2008 and served as the Director of the Life Support Training Center (LSTC) at KHCC. She founded and directed the Regional Life Support Training Center (RLSTC), which was officially recognized by the AHA as a Reference Center for the MENA region from 2013 to 2020. She has been involved in establishing new AHA ITCs across the MENA region, building the capacity of TCFs and RFs, and contributing to AHA Quality projects to ensure high-quality Emergency Cardiovascular Care courses in the region.
