Dr. Saud Al Turki has been the Chairman of the Advanced Trauma Life Support in Saudi Arabia since 1991 and previously served as the Executive Director of Academic Affairs at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh. He was the first appointed Chief of the MENA Region (Region 17) for the American College of Surgeons, representing their educational activities in the region.
Dr. Al Turki is the Founder & CEO of the Academy of Sciences, established in 2018, which has grown to become the leading medical education institute in the Kingdom.
With extensive experience in education and a passion for integrating technology, he pioneered the development of Virtual Reality (VR) in the country with a comprehensive curriculum. This program includes assessment tools and certifications accredited by various local and international bodies. Among the courses he developed are the First Responder Course, CPR for the Saudi Heart Association, Police Investigation VR Program, OSCE Exam for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (prototype), and most recently, a prototype for a safety course focused on Slips, Trips, and Falls.
