Mr. Bahaa Mustafa has sixteen years of experience in education, emergency services operations, and hospital services. His career spans seven years in the Education Department in the Middle East, where he gained valuable experience through university projects and emergency ambulance services.
For the past decade, Bahaa has worked in the United Arab Emirates, holding positions such as Operations Team Leader, Field Training Officer, and EMS Advanced Educator for the ambulance service. As a coordinator for the clinical education team, he played a pivotal role in developing the Emirati EMT program at Sharjah University, overseeing its growth from inception to the graduation of the first batch of Emirati nationals serving on the frontline of ambulance services in the Northern Emirates region. His responsibilities included conducting gap analyses, developing teaching programs and curricula, and building agendas and course syllabi. Additionally, as a Field Training Officer, he trained and monitored new and current EMS staff at all levels, ensuring high-quality pre-hospital care. In his operational role, he served as a Paramedic, Team Leader for Northern Emirates EMS staff, and Bronze Commander for national and international events.
As a media medical advisor, Bahaa prepared materials and presented first aid and public awareness segments on UAE national TV channels. He also trained police, civil defence staff, school teachers, and other high-profile agencies in emergency medical response and first aid CPR AED courses.
Bahaa holds instructor status with the American Heart Association, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, the American Safety and Health Institute, and is an AREMT Senior Faculty member. He has completed AHA program coordination and administration training, as well as BLS TCF.
Prior to his time in the UAE, Bahaa worked in hospitals in Jordan for six years as an intensive care unit nurse and an emergency department charge nurse. He holds a diploma in Nursing from Zarqa College and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Hashemite University. Additionally, he possesses a Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Health Profession Education (MHPE) at Gulf Medical University.
